The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues is summer onslaught with UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Miller on Wednesday night in Atlantic City, N.J. Donald Cerrone and Jim Miller have both been fighting at the top end of the lightweight division for several years, constantly knocking on the door to title contention, although neither has been able to cross the threshold in the UFC. Each man has won his last three bouts, although Miller has a no-contest result mixed in his streak, and is again making a case for title talk. The winner of Wednesday night’s main event takes a tremendous leap forward, while the other likely faces a difficult road back into contention. Cerrone, Miller, and the rest of the UFC Fight Night 45 roster first had to make weight, stepping on the scale Tuesday afternoon in Atlantic City.
