BANGOR, Maine – Sam Alvey waited until the third and final round to get his offense going, and by then it was too late. After battering a languid, overly defensive Alvey for the first two rounds, Tom Watson managed to survive a late blitz in a wild final frame to take a unanimous decision victory with scores of 29-28 across the board. The middleweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 47 at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine
