Middleweight  Tim Boetsch (18-7 MMA, 9-6 UFC) said he wasn’t discouraged by a tough first round and cut opened by opponent Brad Tavares (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) at their meeting at UFC Fight Night 47. He felt confident he could turn the tables if he could just land his right hand. “There was a sense of urgency, but I knew all I had to do was (hit him) with my right hand, and the game would change drastically,” Boetsch said following Saturday’s event at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Things indeed changed in a hurry for Boetsch, who staggered Tavares with a left hook before a perfectly placed right hook put him out at the 3:18 mark of the second round
