Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza exacted his revenge, submitting Gegard Mousasi in the main event at UFC Fight Night Foxwoods in Ledyard, Conn. on Friday. Souza dominated Mousasi on the ground in a rematch of their 2008 fight in Japan, securing a number of takedowns before applying a guillotine choke at the 4:30 mark of the third round. “If anyone doubts that, they’re completely wrong,” Souza said when asked if he’s done enough to earn a title shot. “I’m next for the title.” A number of early takedown attempts finally paid off halfway through the opening round for Souza.
