SAITAMA, Japan – UFC newcomer and Japanese vet Masanori Kanehara (24-11-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) took an early lead against Alex Caceres (10-7 MMA, 5-5 UFC) and held on to secure a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. Kanehara, a former Sengoku champion, earned scores of 29-28 to get back on the winning track after a disqualification loss in April. The bantamweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 52 card at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan
