HALIFAX – With less than a week’s notice, Chris Kelades had the odds stacked against him despite fighting in his home province. But Kelades (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) bucked those odds with a spirited effort to upset Patrick Holohan (10-1-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC), handing the Irishman his first loss with a unanimous decision. The flyweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 54 event at Halifax Metro Centre in Nova Scotia, Canada. It aired on FOX Sports 2 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. Holohan kicked high early, then kicked down low. Holohan stayed ultra-busy moving on the outside, giving Kelades nothing stationary to aim for.
