AUSTIN, Texas –  Yves Edwards didn’t seem to see the right hand from  Akbarh Arreola that floored him early, but he got a good look at the armbar that finished him moments later, handing Arreola the submission victory at 1:52 of Round 1. With that, Arreola (23-8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) earned his first UFC victory, and he did it against a respected MMA veteran in Edwards (42-22-1 MMA, 10-10 UFC), who never seemed to recover from that early right hand. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 57 event at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. It aired on FOX Sports following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. Arreola and Edwards mixed it up on the feet right away, with Arreola just missing with an early head kick that grazed Edwards’ head
