AUSTIN, Texas – In another workmanlike effort, Ruslan Magomedov picked apart newcomer Josh Copeland with a steady stream of kicks and counter punches. Copeland (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), a former RFA champ, was never able to get much offense going as Magomedov (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) kept him at bay with his legs and countered inside to win a unanimous decision. The heavyweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 57 event at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. It aired on FOX Sports following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. The final scores were 29-28 and 30-27 twice for Magomedov, who picked up his second UFC win following a decision in May over Viktor Pesta.
