Leonardo Santos RIO DE JANEIRO – Leonardo Santos used a nifty trip to take Tony Martin to the mat, then before Martin knew it he had Santos stuck to his back with an arm wrapped around his neck. Just like that, things had gone from bad to worse, and Martin (9-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) had no choice but to tap to Santos (14-3-1 MMA, 3-0-1 UFC), bringing an end to the bout at 2:29 of Round 2. The lightweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 62 event at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass. Prior to getting tossed to the mat, Martin had found success with his right hand, pursuing Santos around the cage and looking for the occasional takedown of his own.
