FAIRFAX, Va. – Liz Carmouche came to life late in her fight with Lauren Murphy, but it was just in time for the judges at cageside. After Murphy (8-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) largely outworked her in the early going, Carmouche (10-5 MMA, 2-3 UFC) finally got aggressive in the final frame and did just enough to notch a unanimous-decision win (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three close, though not exactly action-packed, rounds. The bantamweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 63 event at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.
