FAIRFAX, Va. – It wasn’t easy for Timothy Johnson to get Shamil Abhurahimov to the mat, thanks in part to Abdurahimov’s willingness to use both legal and illegal takedown defense strategies to stay on his feet. But once Johnson (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) got Abdurahimov (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on his back, he wasted no time pouring on the punches for a TKO finish at the 4:57 mark of Round 1, bringing a sudden end to his UFC debut.
