Miocic (13-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) put a beating on Hunt (10-10-1 MMA, 5-4-1 UFC) that many on social media felt should have resulted in a stoppage at some point in Round 3. Instead, Hunt toughed things out, making it to Round 5 before the accumulation of punches forced the referee to step in and call a halt to the bout.
