Thiago Alves and Carlos Condit GOIANIA, Brazil – After one round of UFC Fight Night 67’s headliner, it looked as though Carlos Condit  had an advantage in volume over Thiago Alves , whose punches and kicks indicated an edge in power. But looks can be deceiving, and timing is everything. Early in the second round, Condit (30-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC) snuck in an elbow that met an advancing Alves (21-10 MMA, 14-7 UFC), causing a broken nose that forced a referee stoppage – via doctor’s recommendation – at the end of the second round. The welterweight bout was the main event of today’s UFC Fight Night 67 event at Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil.
