Birchak (12-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) stopped Soto (15-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) with a first-round knockout, upsetting the 2-1 favorite – a former Bellator champion who was looking for his first UFC victory after a loss to bantamweight champion in his promotional debut this past September.
