Larkin (16-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) was able to utilize his considerable speed advantage to pop Ponzinibbio (20-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) with punches and crisp leg kicks. Larkin landed some powerful shots that drapped Ponzinibbio in the second round. While the initial flurry didn’t finish the fight, some follow-up shots moments later forced referee Herb Dean to jump in and call a halt to the bout at the 3:07 mark of Round 2
