Lyoto Machida UFC Fight Night 70’s original lineup was massacred a week out from the event when 12 fighters were pulled from the card due to visa issues for the foreign athletes scheduled to compete. Fortunately, the middleweight headliner between Lyoto Machida (22-6 MMA, 14-6 UFC) and Yoel Romero (9-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is still intact. After some last-minute patchwork, the card moves forward with nine scheduled bouts and a bevy of replacement fighters. Machida and Romero are fighting for a position near the top of the 185-pound division. A setback for either at this point would be detrimental to his title hopes. Check below for 30 pre-fight facts about UFC Fight Night 70, which marks the organization’s first visit to Hollywood, Fla., since June 2007.
