Nine fighters, including co-headliners Tony Ferguson and Josh Thomson , are facing potential six-month medical suspensions following UFC Fight Night 71. MMAjunkie recently requested and received the list of mandatory medical suspensions from the California State Athletic Commission. UFC Fight Fight Night 71 took place this past Wednesday, June 15, at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center. Following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, the rest of the card aired on FOX Sports 1. In the headliner, heavyweight Frank Mir (18-9 MMA, 16-9 UFC), who received only the minimum seven-day suspension issued to all fighters, needed just 73 seconds to knock out Todd Duffee (9-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who’s suspended 45 days with no contact permitted during training sessions for 30 days. In the co-headliner, Ferguson (19-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) earned a lopsided decision victory over fellow lightweight Thomson (20-8 MMA, 3-4 UFC)
