A submission win for RFA about a year ago ultimately led to her UFC deal, but the powers-that-be already knew much about her from when she wanted to get on “The Ultimate Fighter” – but reportedly was told she exceeded the age requirements . Once she had her UFC debut set, against Alexis Dufresne in January, she was a 2-1 underdog against an opponent with equivalent experience, but a big age advantage. She shut down Dufresne with ease for 15 minutes. Against Jessica Andrade seven weeks later, she was fed to the wolves in Brazil, and not only survived, but submitted the 3-1 home-country favorite in front of her home fans.
