Sam Sicilia Sam Sicilia waited eagerly for his next fight after knocking out Akira Corassani in January at UFC on FOX 14. He kept in shape so when the promotion called, he would be ready. Then, a funny thing happened: The phone didn’t ring. “I was hoping for a quicker turnaround,” Sicilia (14-5 MMA, 4-4 UFC) told MMAjunkie. “For me, this sucks sitting for this long.” Tonight at UFC Fight Night 71, the veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter 15” gets back to work against short-notice replacement Yaotzin Meza (21-9 MMA, 2-2 UFC) in his second fight of 2015. The matchup headlines the event’s FOX Sports 1-televised preliminary card at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center.
