Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos GLASGOW, Scotland – Now that Stevie Ray has found a little success – OK, a lot of early success – in the UFC, he can’t help but look back at a recent incident that could’ve kept him from the biggest performance of his career. On Saturday, Ray (18-5 MMA, 2-0 UFC) opened the main card of UFC Fight Night 72 in his native Scotland by taking out Leonardo Mafra (12-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) with a TKO halfway through the first round . The finish earned him a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus and was his second stoppage win in the UFC. UFC Fight Night 72 took place at SSE Hydro in Glasgow as part of the UFC’s debut in Ray’s home country of Scotland. But it all could’ve never happened for “Braveheart” had a motorcycle spill during his fight camp been worse.
