Thomas Almeida After another massive knockout victory that upped his UFC record at 4-0, undefeated bantamweight Thomas Almeida has begun to set his sights on UFC gold. Almeida (20-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) picked up his third knockout in four UFC appearances when he stopped Anthony Birchak (12-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) with strikes in the first round at UFC Fight Night 77 in Sao Paulo. The momentum around the 24-year-old continues to build with each victory, and following the knockout of Birchak, he announced his intentions to chase the 135-pound belt and begin a title reign that will last a “very long time.” “I’m very happy to be able to show my work, to be able to show my team’s work; I feel fulfilled,” Almeida told MMAjunkie through an interpreter
