Ed Herman BOSTON – For reasons all his own, Tim Boetsch seemed to be in no hurry to extricate himself from Ed Herman ’s Thai clinch. That would prove to be a critical mistake, as Herman (23-11 MMA, 10-8 UFC) launched a brutal knee in close that dropped Boetsch (18-10 MMA, 9-9 UFC) in a heap, bringing up a TKO finish moments later as referee Kevin MacDonald waved the bout off at the 1:39 mark of Round 2. The light heavyweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 81 event at TD Garden in Boston
