BOSTON – It was the left hook of Rob Font that put Joey Gomez in trouble and a series of punishing right uppercuts that put him away. The result was a violent TKO finish for Font (12-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC), who finished off a game Gomez (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the 4:13 mark of Round 2. The bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 81 event at TD Garden in Boston. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims and a main card on FOX Sports 1.
