UFC welterweight Tom Breese took out a highly polarizing fighter in his second octagon bout when he put away Ireland’s Cathal Pendred at UFC Fight Night 76. But he’s not making any big deal about it. Breese may have sent Pendred into retirement , but he takes no great joy from being his last opponent. “I think it was a good decision for him,” Breese told MMAjunkie. “I’ve always felt like he would be a mid-level fighter, like a gatekeeper.” Breese (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) doesn’t expect to walk the same path as his retired opponent, of course.
