Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes ZAGREB, Croatia – Francis Ngannou gave Curtis Blaydes a rather rude welcome to the big leagues. Ngannou’s striking damaged Blaydes’ right eye to the point it was completely closed in the second round, and though the UFC newcomer survived the frame, the cageside doctor wouldn’t let him go to the third. The result was a TKO stoppage win for Ngannou (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC), and the first loss in Blaydes’ (5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) career. The heavyweight bout was part of today’s UFC Fight Night 86 main card at Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia
