It’s one reason why fans seem to get behind him – he’s always fighting, even when he’s down on the scorecards. But even Seery admits he’s a little discouraged about his prospects for rising above the fray in the UFC’s 125-pound division when he looks at its titleholder, Demetrious Johnson . Asked whether other the flyweight champ uses up most of the oxygen among the flyweights, Seery told MMAjunkie Radio, “Yeah, definitely.” This past month at UFC 197, Johnson made another strong argument for unofficial pound-for-pound great when he stopped Henry Cejudo (24-2-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) in the first round of his eighth title defense , trying deposed kingpin Jon Jones for consecutive defenses and contesting his current status as best all-around fighter. It’s not Johnson’s quick dispatch of Cejudo that impresses Seery, but rather the champ’s ability to go the distance in style
