When Cody Garbrandt was preparing to face Thomas Almeida in the main event of UFC Fight Night 88, he almost ended up in a battle with Felipe Arantes. The two men engaged in a verbal altercation in the hotel days before the event, where Arantes (17-7-1 MMA, 4-3-1 UFC) was in attendance to corner Almeida (20-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC). “Our conflict happened in one of the hallways of our hotel, around three days before Thomas’ fight,” Arantes told MMAjunkie.
