HAMBURG, Germany – Veronica Macedo certainly has a bright future, but the 20-year-old prospect simply took on too big of a challenge – literally and figuratively – against Ashlee Evans-Smith . Macedo (5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who turned pro just six months ago, got the fast track to the UFC as a late replacement, but Evans-Smith (5-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) proved one tough measuring stick. The women’s bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 93 event at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany
