BRASILIA, Brazil – In a three-round grappling match, Alan Patrick charged into takedowns and smothered Stevie Ray for an easy decision. After his first serious submission attempt, Ray (19-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC) had little answer for Patrick’s (14-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) control and watched time whittle away before inevitably falling short on scorecards.
