PORTLAND, Ore. – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 96 event took home UFC Athlete Outfitting pay, a program that launched after the UFC’s deal with Reebok, totaling $115,000. UFC Fight Night 96 took place at Moda Center in Portland, Ore., and the main card aired on FS1 following prelims on FS2 and UFC Fight Pass. Leading the way was veteran Nate Marquardt (35-16-2 MMA, 13-9 UFC).On top of being one of the big winners on the card with a “Performance of the Night” knockout of Tamndam McCrory (14-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC), N”The Great” received $20,000 for his 24th UFC/Strikeforce appearance. Beyond that, 15 of the 24 athletes to compete registered on the lowest tier of the payout scale, meaning a payment of $2,500 each.
