Filed under: Featured , Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos MEXICO CITY – The UFC has returned to Mexico’s capital for the third time, and once again, MMAjunkie is “On the Ground” in “The City of Palaces.” Today in Mexico City, MMAjunkie’s John Morgan and Fernanda Prates spent the day watching fighters step on the scales to make their bouts official, and later checking out the ceremonial weigh-ins prior to Saturday’s FS1-televised event, which takes place at Mexico City Arena. Headliners Rafael dos Anjos (25-8 MMA, 14-6 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (21-3 MMA, 11-1 UFC) made weight without trouble, but Charles Oliveira (21-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) provided a bit of drama. Oliveira missed weight by a whopping nine pounds, checking in at 155 pounds for his featherweight bout with Ricardo Lamas (16-5 MMA, 7-3 UFC). The bout will go ahead as scheduled but Lamas receives 30 percent of Oliveira’s purse.
