The UFC made its first trip to Austin, Texas, since February 2018 Saturday with UFC on ESPN 37 at Moody Center, and there’s no doubt the card will land in the Event of the Year discussion. Nine of the 13 scheduled bouts ended inside the distance and did not require the judges, but one fight that did was the main event. Josh Emmett (18-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) edged Calvin Kattar (23-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) by split decision in a critical clash of featherweight contenders, and with five straight wins the Team Alpha Male product is poised for another marquee assignment next time out.
