PHOENIX – A short left hand from Matt Mitrione put Gabriel Gonzaga down, but it was the follow up punishment – and the especially brutal follow-up to the follow-up – that finished him off. In the end, it added up to a violent TKO finish for Mitrione (9-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC), and a disappointing loss for Gonzaga (16-9 MMA, 11-8 UFC) just 1:59 into the first round. The heavyweight fight opened today’s UFC on FOX 13 main card at U.S.
