Junior Dos Santos Junior dos Santos knows the world has been waiting for his fight with Alistair Overeem. But he said the matchup doesn’t quite stir as much excitement for him as everyone else. Dos Santos (17-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) against Overeem (39-14 MMA, 4-3 UFC) has been a matchup on the horizon for several years. They were supposed to fight for the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 146 in 2012 when Dos Santos held the championship, but the fight ultimately fell apart. The contest was booked again for UFC 160 in May 2013, but again the matchup failed to materialize .
