Pearson, who was crowned “The Ultimate Fighter 9” season champ in 2009, found some early success (and a handful of fight-night bonuses) in his UFC career. Lately, though, he’s suffered a fair share of setbacks, including back-to-back losses and four-plus-years without back-to-back victories. The Englishman hopes a trip back to Europe could do the trick. The latest edition of “UFC on the Fly” caught up with Pearson (19-12 MMA, 11-9 UFC) ahead of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 99 co-headliner with lightweight Steven Ray (19-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC). In the episode, Pearson talks about the difficulty of pushing on despite the losses.
