Despite a 5-1 record since his March 2013 move to the division, Cote (23-9 MMA, 10-9 UFC) has yet to crack the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA welterweight rankings . The need for a big fight motivated a very specific callout from Cote following his UFC Fight Night 81 domination of Ben Saunders. If he can’t get someone in the rankings, Cote wants Nick Diaz (26-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC) when the controversial fan-favorite returns from his 18-month suspension for a failed drug test.
