Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas If you look at the betting lines for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 63 headliner featuring featherweights Chad Mendes  and Ricardo Lamas , there’s something of a mismatch on the horizon. As of today, two-time title challenger Mendes (16-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) is as high as a 4-1 favorite to beat onetime challenger Lamas (15-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at Fairfax, Va.’s Patriot Center, which hosts the FOX Sports 1-televised event. The steep odds against Lamas come as a surprise to UFC commentator Jon Anik, who sees a lot of similarities between the fighters and think there may be some value in putting money on the underdog. “You’re getting a good number at +375 if you want to put your money where your mouth is,” Anik, who calls fights alongside retired fighter Kenny Florian, told MMAjunkie Radio. “I have planted my flag for Ricardo Lamas time and time again.” Like most who saw it, Anik was disappointed at Lamas’ showing in a championship bout at UFC 169 against champ Jose Aldo.
