At UFC on ESPN+ 40 this past Saturday, Glover Teixeira cemented himself as the light heavyweight No. 1 contender when he submitted Thiago Santos in the third round of their headlining bout. Teixeira (32-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC), 41, also climbed in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings and leapfrogged a few notable names in the process.
