Without major players in action this past weekend, we didn’t have any movement in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA rankings. But coming up this week, things have the potential to get shuffled. No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter and top featherweight Jose Aldo puts his title on the line in a rematch against Chad Mendes in the main event of UFC 179 on Saturday in Brazil. A Mendes upset to take the title would make for some interesting bouncing around, not only with the switch at featherweight, but in Aldo’s standing in the pound-for-pound category.
