Marcos Rogerio de Lima (15-5-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) fights Adam Wieczorek (10-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) to open UFC 230 at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday. This column by his manager, Alex Davis, is a reaction to de Lima being asked to submit to an additional drug screening, Davis says, by the New York State Athletic Commission at his own cost ahead of the fight. In April 2018, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced that Marcos Rogerio de Lima ’s positive test was a result of unknowingly ingesting a banned substance from a dietary supplement provided to him by a Brazilian compounding pharmacy and deemed him eligible to compete immediately
