It’s been quite the swing in career momentum for Douglas Lima . Just two fights ago Lima (32-9 MMA, 14-5 BMMA) was the Bellator welterweight champion who was getting ready to move up to middleweight and challenge for a second title against Gegard Mousasi. Fast-forward to today, and not only did Lima come up short in his champ-champ bid, but he lost his 170-pound title to Yaroslav Amosov (26-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA). Lima was thoroughly outworked by Amosov in a unanimous decision loss in the Bellator 260 headliner this past Friday, and suddenly “The Phenom” is on a two-fight skid. The wrestling of his opponent was too much to overcome, and that element has been a reoccurring issue for Lima throughout his career. The three-time Bellator tournament winner is now 33 years old, and has 41 professional fights under his belt dating back to his MMA debut in July 2006
