After years of living in his older brother’s shadow, Sergio Pettis is not forging his own path as an MMA champion after winning the Bellator bantamweight title. Sergio defeated Juan Archuleta by unanimous decision in the main event of Bellator 258 this past Friday in Uncasville, Conn., and his elder sibling, Anthony Pettis, was right there in his corner to cheer him on. Anthony is a former UFC and WEC champion, and has established quite a legacy for himself in the sport. Sergio spent many of those years trying to find his own identity, and perhaps on track to become the face of the Pettis fighting family.
