SACRAMENTO, Calif. – At Thursday’s UFC on FOX 9 press conference, veteran lightweight Mac Danzig  revealed he was competing without the benefit of financial sponsors. UFC President Dana White found the timing extremely relevant, as he says a plan is in place to revamp the sponsorship structure for UFC fighters. “It’s actually interesting that that came up today and that [Danzig] said that because, as usual – in typical UFC fashion – we’re working on that,” White told USA TODAY Sports. “We’re working on a deal that’s going to work for everybody.
