Renowned strength and conditioning coach Phil Daru has offered an inside look at Dustin Poirier ’s preparation for his UFC 264 trilogy fight against Conor McGregor. With the series tied at one apiece, Poirier (27-6 MMA, 19-5 UFC) will look to close things out with McGregor (22-5 MMA, 10-3 UFC) in the main event on Saturday. Daru broke down the three main focus points for Poirier’s eight-week camp, which consist of: Establish movement efficiency (mobility, stability, strength) Speed, agility, quickness, power (cone drills, ladder/bag drills, med ball (ballistics), hurdles/box jumps.
