The UFC is apparently working on booking a summer matchup between lightweight contenders Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson . According to Ferguson, he’s was looking for the crucial showdown to take place in May, but claims Chandler is attempting to get more time before returning to the octagon in July. That prompted “El Cucuy” to call out the former three-time Bellator titleholder on social media, to which Chandler offered a fiery reply . If it comes to fruition, it would be a critical contest for both men. Chandler (22-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC) is coming off back-to-back losses, while Ferguson (25-6 MMA, 15-4 UFC) has dropped three straight. The loser would be facing some tough questions about their career, while the winner would get some footing back in the loaded 155-pound title picture
