Israel Adesanya ’s middleweight title reign rolls on after he successfully defended the belt for the fifth time with a unanimous decision win over Jared Cannonier this past Saturday at UFC 276. It was one-way traffic for 25 minutes, even if Adesanya thinks he had an “off night,” with Adesanya earning a 50-45 and two 49-46 scores from the judges. While it wasn’t the most exciting fight, the performance was still dominant, but a contingent of fans heaped criticism on the champ for being boring and playing things too safely. Our question: Why does this happen to Adesanya and not necessarily to other dominant champions like Kamaru Usman and Valentina Shevchenko
