Paulo Costa went through many weight revisions ahead of UFC Fight Night 196 , but ultimately hit the final contracted number ahead of his fight with Marvin Vettori. Fight week began with Costa (13-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) vs. Vettori (17-5-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) scheduled as a middleweight bout. It was then moved to a 195-pound catchweight due to Costa’s poor weight management, then just hours prior to weigh-ins, was changed again to light heavyweight.
