Tony Ferguson has mastered the technique of the D’Arce choke and currently holds the UFC record for most finishes by that technique with three. “El Cucuy” has used the D’Arce to finish Mike Rio, Edson Barboza and Lando Vannata during his rise toward the top of the UFC lightweight division. Some of the most notable names on the roster have scored D’Arce choke submissions with the technique often cropping up to finish pivotal fights.
