That some UFC castoffs may be old, but they’re not forgotten. MMAjunkie’s Ben Fowlkes explains how fighters such as Shields, Jon Fitch, Yushin Okami and Melvin Guillard are bringing name recognition and relevance to non-UFC shows. Perhaps most importantly, though, they’re also proving some of these vets still have a little left in the tank. Check out the above video as Fowlkes explains why a UFC release isn’t necessarily a career kiss of death, as fighters such as Anthony Johnson and Josh Burkman have shown.
