It should be noted that Chris Weidman isn’t getting ahead of himself. But the UFC’s middleweight champion would consider a move up to light heavyweight down the road. First, though, Weidman has a few more title defenses at 185 pounds in front of him. Weidman recently told USA TODAY Sports that if he can clean out the middleweight division, he might not have a choice but to move up to light heavyweight to see what he can get done 20 pounds heavier
